We love New York artist Tom Sach's conceptual sculptures, and his talent for elevating everyday objects to a level that transcends their innate practicality. In an early show, Sachs made Knoll office furniture out of phone books and duct tape; later, he recreated Le Corbusier's 1952 Unité d'Habitation using only foamcore and a glue gun.
His next exhibition, Space Program: Mars, opens at the Park Avenue Armory on May 16.
