Our Factory

Located in downtown Los Angles, Citizens of Humanity designs and produces locally in its in-house laundry and manufacturing facilities to ensure the product is unparalleled in look, feel and quality. We are one of the few vertically integrated denim production facilities in the United States. With every pair of jeans manufactured within a 10-minute radius of our design studio, we are able to have complete control over the quality of our product. A single pair of jeans can pass through 30 to 40 hands and take on average a day to produce. As a brand we are continuously transforming every aspect of the production process to create environmentally friendly and socially conscious methods. Stay tuned as we continue to push our technologies forward in an effort to better our environment.

How We Found It

In our initial phase of production, we worked with size different vendors to produce a single T-shirt. The process was painful and we had an inventory loss at every step. Those were early days. in an attempt to move to "full-package" vendor, we met with every major factory in Los Angeles. We were impressed bye the workmanship here and the environment created for the factory workers. We visit this facility three times a week to check up on production and quality control pieces.

The Owner

Jerome Dahan grew up in Paris and came of age in Montreal, where in the mid '70s, he designed his first pair of jeans, which featured embroidered back pockets- an innovation in the early days of designer denim. In the early 1980s, he migrated to Los Angeles, helping establish it as a world capital for the design and manufacturing of premium blue jeans.
