Stylist and fashion editor Mallory Schlau takes us through the streets of New York in her favorite Citizens of Humanity fits and shares her tips for finding the perfect pair of jeans.

"I spend most mornings meeting with designers to see their newest collections, and quite a lot of my time is spent on set collaborating with photographers to create inspiring content. I am always on my feet, so it is rare you will see me in sky high heels but you can always count on me to be in jeans."

"I got my start interning in the accessories closet at Vogue. While working there I was sent on set for a photoshoot with Steven Meisel – which turned out to be magical. We were shooting supermodels like Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell, Edward Enninful was styling and Pat McGrath was on makeup. The whole day was amazing from start to finish and I was mesmerized with the entire fashion industry from that moment on."

"My style mantra is less is more, and I am a total creature of habit. I have at least thirty pairs of jeans but I wear the same five pairs on rotation."

"I was drawn to these Citizens pieces because I tend to lean toward classic styles that have a vintage feel. With denim, I’m all about fit and comfort. You should be able to run, skip and jump in your jeans and look chic while you’re doing it."

"Trends are fleeting. It is much more important to invest in pieces you love and will wear for years to come… I wear these Emerson jeans to work at least twice a week!”
